Septic tanks consists of either 2 or 3 chamber system which holds sewage solids long enough to allow the solids to form into sludge at the bottom of the tank. It then partially breaks down through anaerobic digestion and the remaining liquid passes through the outlet pipe to a soakaway.
Cylindrical Septic Tanks
The cylindrical septic tank allows reduced depth excavation in comparison with the spherical septic tank, therefore reducing excavation costs. The cylindrical septic tanks are also used where there is a high water table or difficult ground conditions.
